Groovy Greeks in Yr3

In the last week of Term 4, Year 3 travelled back in time and became Greeks for the day! We had a wonderful variety of ancient Greek outfits on show; some transforming themselves into super powerful gods and goddesses! We had a brilliant day immersing ourselves into ancient Greek life and we learnt so much. We learnt about key events in the ancient Greece timeline, we got into the role of Spartans and Athenians and had a class debate on who was the better city state and why, we learnt how the ancient Greeks were so influential to our way of modern life, we looked at the ancient and modern day Olympics, sampled some super tasty Greek delicacies and had great fun with Greek themed arts and crafts! It was a jam-packed, fun-filled day that was thoroughly enjoyed by all!
