Expository Essays in Yr6

During lockdown, Year 6 were set the mammoth challenge of attempting a completely new style of writing- expository essays. The children had to take one point of view and use their research to convince the readers why they were correct. We chose to write about an issue that is very close to all of our hearts at Langney Primary Academy: the importance of exercise. The children were treated to a video from Mr Field in which he shared some expert advice and then they set about finding out why we should keep fit. Year 6 took to this challenge with their usual positive attitude and it was a joy to read the finished products. We are all so very proud of their hard work.
