Egyptian Day in Year 3!

Year 3 celebrated their fantastic topic this term 'Walk Like An Egyptian' with an Ancient Egyptian themed day. We dressed up as ancient pharaohs, Cleopatra, mummies and sphinxes. We learnt about mummification and even did a mummy wrapping competition. We also made Egyptian death masks, learned about Egyptian Gods, studied and cracked codes using hieroglyphics and created stunning Egyptian jewellery and tombs. We used our DT skills to make pyramids and mummies as well as celebrating with Egyptian dancing. Finally we learned an Egyptian rap and explored the River Nile and what life was like then. We had great fun in an action packed day!
