3D Digital Design!

This week, our Year 6 pupils, who will be heading off to the Turing School in September, were treated to a morning of digital design and 3D printing, courtesy of The Turing Academy.

The children took their design and computing skills to the next level with a Computer Aided Design program which allowed them to build their own homes on-screen, in 3D. At the same time, a 3D printer busily created a model of a fishing boat, to demonstrate how a 3D printer works. The children were buzzing with excitement throughout the session and are now eager to start their Key Stage 3 education.

Langney Primary Academy, along with the other Eastbourne Swale Academies Trust primary schools, have been working closely with The Turing Academy to ensure pupils from Reception to KS3 receive the very best, cutting edge Computing Curriculum to include not only 3D printing but also robotics, programming, photography, filming and film post-production.

Langney Primary Academy champions Computing as a specialist subject and is proud to offer pupils the opportunity to enhance their digital skills.
